UniCredit: Record first half, net profit of €6.1 billion. Orcel: "€30 billion to shareholders from 2025 to 2027."

The institution led by Andrea Orcel recorded a net profit of 6.1 billion euros, as announced in a note on the group's "excellent" financial results for the second quarter and first half of 2025.
"This exceptional first-half performance, combined with additional levers for future growth, has allowed us to raise our 2025 guidance and 2027 ambitions," added UniCredit CEO Andrea Orcel. "We expect at least €30 billion in total distributions to shareholders, including at least €15 billion in cash dividends from 2025 to 2027. We look to the future with confidence."

"Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, we expect to boost revenues and net income through the internalization of life insurance and the equity consolidation of Alpha Bank10 and Commerzbank. This strategic approach structurally improves our earnings, return on equity, and distribution trajectory, leading to an upgrade of guidance on key metrics," the bank's statement continued.
